Description
We would like to take the opportunity whilst the canal is closed for HS2 works between bridge 30, Welsh road and bridge 31, Longhole, to add in this additional stoppage to the Winter Works Programme.
The proposed additional works are planned for lock 7 and 9 which will include a gate refit and leakage reduction works on the Grand Union Canal between the dates of 6th November 2023 and the 8th December 2023.
Please note that the whole flight of locks from lock 4 through to lock 11 will be closed to ensure the site is protected from the risk of flooding.
The Trust has chosen to do these works at this time to minimise disruption to customers.
