East Cottingwith Lock (Lock 9) will be closed to navigation from 08:00 on 27 May 2026 until 17:00 on 28 May 2026.   A specialist dive team will be carrying out underwater repairs to the lock gates to help conserve water resources at East Cottingwith lock.   For safety reasons, no passage through the lock will be permitted while divers are in the water. Boaters are advised to plan their journeys accordingly and allow for this temporary closure.   We apologise for any inconvenience and appreciate your cooperation while these essential works are completed.
